Since taking over The Chocolate Rabbit in Lakefield in 2021, the Webster family has continued a local tradition of Handcrafted Premium Rich Chocolate, homemade fudge and friendly small-town service.
When longtime owner Lois retired in 2021, she wanted The Chocolate Rabbit to remain in local hands. The Webster family stepped in to continue what she had built—and help it grow.
In 2022, the family expanded to Bancroft in the former Fudge Factory and carried forward its original homemade fudge recipes. Today, the family welcomes customers in Lakefield, Peterborough and Bancroft.
The Webster family takes over the Lakefield shop.
The former Fudge Factory becomes the second location.
Third and newest location opens in Peterborough .

Nicole works alongside Elaine at Perfect Balance Accounting, while Kyle is a Chef currently working with Nicole on creating a new business. Chef made freezer meals for the family, more details on this will be shared soon. They are parents to Danika and Eisen.
The owner of Computer Garage in Lakefield since 2016, Dylan supports the shops’ technology, security, inventory and website.
Through Kristine Webster Productions, she brings more than a decade of photography, video and social-media experience to the family business.
The youngest family members make occasional shop appearances and are always willing to help sample a new treat.
